A comic tale of two actresses vying for the same role on a television show. They sit in a casting office waiting their respective turns while looking for ways to psych each other out before their auditions. A humorous glimpse at the small, bitter rivalries we all share in life.

Jessica Cummings is NYC based actress, award-winning film producer, and acting coach. As an actress, she has performed on Broadway, off-Broadway and regionally, as well as in major television shows and films. Most recently, Jessica was seen in Therese Raquin on Broadway (starring Kiera Knightley) and can be seen in the upcoming films Astraea and Gold (starring Matthew McConaughey).

As an acting coach, she works under the mentorship of Bob Krakower and is a head teacher at The Freeman Studio. Her clients include include many successful actors in both television and film.

GOOD LUCK (IN FARSI) marks Jessica's directorial debut.

Gia Crovatin is a New York City-based actor and producer. Some recent television credits include Law & Order: SVU (NBC), Billions (Showtime), Van Helsing (SyFy), Younger (TVLand), Benders (IFC), Billy & Billie (DirecTV), The Good Wife (CBS) and Hell On Wheels (AMC). Gia most recently appeared opposite Matthew Broderick in Neil LaBute’s film Dirty Weekend and in the final installment of Hal Hartley’s Ned Rifle trilogy. Other film credits include The Depths, Finding Her, Seven Lovers, Sure Thing, BFF, and My America.

On stage, Gia was recently seen in Trevor Nunn’s first American Shakespeare production of Pericles opposite Christian Camargo at Theatre For a New Audience in Brooklyn. Prior to that, Gia was in MCC’s production of Neil LaBute’s The Money Shot, reasons to be pretty and Reasons To Be Happy (LA Theatreworks), Good Luck [In Farsi] (59e59), In The Beginning (Theatre Row), Lovely Head (LaMama), and others.

Gia graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Theatre Arts and American Studies and also trained in London at the British American Drama Academy. She is a proud union member of Actor’s Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.

In 2016, Gia and her friend and colleague Elizabeth Masucci founded In the Meantime Productions. GOOD LUCK (IN FARSI) is their inaugural film production.

Elizabeth Masucci is a New York City-based actor, producer, and director.  Her first passion in the performing arts was ballet, which she studied until moving to New York City to attend Fordham University at Lincoln Center. Most recently, she starred as a series regular alongside Edward Burns on the TV series Public Morals (TNT) produced by Steven Spielberg. Other recent television credits include Person Of Interest (CBS), Elementary (CBS), The Americans (FX), Royal Pains (USA), and The Carrie Diaries (CW).

In film, she can be seen in a supporting role in Steve McQueen’s Shame starring Michael Fassbender. Other films include The Brooklyn Banker alongside Paul Sorvino, B- Side, The Idea Of Manhood, and Half Brother.

On stage, Elizabeth was recently seen in Neil LaBute’s new play called After The Wedding (59e59).

As a director and producer, she is currently creating a poetry short film anthology series. Her first short was based on the poem Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou starring Danielle Brooks (Orange Is The New Black, The Color Purple).

And she also co-founded a production company called In the Meantime Productions with her friend and colleague Gia Crovatin. Their first production is a film adaptation of the play GOOD LUCK (IN FARSI) by Neil LaBute.
